Ring In 2010 at TheatreWorks New Milford!

Delicious Cuisine, Drinks, and a Great Show on Thursday, December 31st

Our New Year’s Eve celebration has been a special part of the TheatreWorks season for over 10 years. What better way to celebrate the start of the New Year than with good food, good friends, and a great show.

7:00 PM – Pre-Show
The evening begins with hors d'oeuvres, along with wine, punch, and soda; fruit and cheese platters; vegetable crudite; olive tray; and shrimp cocktail.

8:00 PM– ACT I of Season’s Greetings
The fun kicks into high gear with the performance of Act I of Alan Ayckbourn’s, Season's Greetings. This critically-acclaimed and popular hit has had audiences rolling in the aisles as they watch the "drama" unfold at the Bunker residence over the three-day Christmas Holiday.

9:15 PM – Intermission
The extended Entr’acte features a dinner buffet with Seafood Newburg, chicken in a white wine sauce, and our vegetarian offering of ratatouille casserole, which is a delightful mixture of tomato summer squash, zucchini, eggplant, and onion over a bed of ravioli and drenched in a light tomato sauce.

10:00-10:15 PM – ACT II Begins
We encounter Uncle Bernard's annual puppet show gone awry and finally to the surprise climax of the uproarious stage play.

10:45-11:00 PM– Post-Show
After the entertainment we will all partake in dessert, coffee, and a champagne toast at Midnight!

TheatreWorks’ 1st Annual Fund Appeal In Full Swing

It’s time to thank all who have so generously supported our first Annual Fund appeal. As of today, we’ve raised more than $7,000 through the Annual Appeal to help us maintain the Theatre and the programs that ticket sales alone can’t provide. And we invite you to join our growing list of 2010 season donors.

The Annual Fund underwrites special programs like Senior Night, offering a free night of theater for older adults during each run; Pay What You Want Night, so that no one has to miss the joy of live theatre because of cost; our growing educational TheatreWorks Kids and Stage 2 programs, to grow the next generation of theater lovers – both on and off stage; and our Page to Stage play reading series, offered free to the community.

We want to expand our accessibility to patrons with hearing and sight disabilities by providing headsets and large print programs. Our award-winning Web site, so beautifully designed and maintained by Print Plus Design, and our database need ongoing upgrades to support our growth. Our building, charming as it is, requires repairs and improvements as well.

We want to do all of this without significantly raising our ticket prices. After all, it’s our mission to provide our community with Off-Broadway-quality theater at hometown prices. We’re building a comprehensive fund development plan that includes grants, individual contributions, and special event fundraising.
