Devon McCorkle

is thrilled be making her TheatreWorks debut. She has been interested in literature and drama since she was a little kid, and in more recent years, studying all aspects of theatre. She has studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC, interned at NYC's Improv Company, Chicago City Limits, and studied under Sherry Cox at Ridgefield High School. Last year she made her directorial debut with The Second Best Bed, performed at the CDA (Connecticut Drama Association) Festival, sweeping the awards to include: (Winner) Overall Outstanding Production, Best Student Direction, Ensemble Acting Award, Outstanding Movement, Outstanding Characterization, and Best Actress. Last fall, Devon learned more about lighting techniques as Light Board & Sound Operator for Proof, at the Ridgefield Theater Barn. She is currently directing her second play, Suddenly Last Summer, and will attend NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in the fall.
