Stephanie Jackson

of Farmington, CT, is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. She originated the role of Elizabeth Keckly in the on-going production of They Called Me Lizzy from Slavery to the White House for the East Haddam Stage Company in 2006. Stephanie has previously created roles in such diverse productions as Tiwanna Lewis’s social issues theatre piece Slice of Life and portrayed the ancient African leader Yaa Asantewaa in the production of Queens of Africa at UCONN. This is her first production at TheatreWorks. In real life, Stephanie is an assistant Special Education Teacher for a private school and mother of two.  She thanks her friends, family and cast members for all of their support.
